Emirates opens first travel store in Karachi, expanding into West Asia
Pakistan’s biggest city to offer unique customer experience with new retail concept
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has launched its first-ever Travel Store in Karachi, marking the airline’s first expansion into the West Asia region.
The store, situated in the prestigious Sky Tower at Karachi Towers on Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue in Clifton, spans 183 square metres and aims to provide a highly immersive and tech-driven travel experience for customers.
The official inauguration ceremony was attended by Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Emirates’ Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations, West Asia and Indian Ocean, alongside a distinguished gathering that included Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, and Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumaithi, UAE Consul General in Karachi. Other notable guests included Mohammed Al Nahari Alhashmi, Emirates’ Vice President for Pakistan.
The event underscored the strong diplomatic and economic ties between the UAE and Pakistan.
In his opening remarks, Ahmad highlighted the significance of the store for Emirates and Karachi, saying, "This is a place where travellers can discover all of our incredible products and services. We’re proud to bring our immersive experiences to Karachi, a city that has been part of our network since 1985. This store reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the customer journey and offering a glimpse of the Emirates experience, combined with exceptional support from our ground teams."
